How many hand wash stations do I need?
You need 1 hand wash station for every 10 porta potties under the PSAI event chart, and 1 for every 4 porta potties on a permitted Irving special event under city code §33B-14(c). Irving also requires each station to be within 20 feet of the toilets. Food booths may need more.

Hand wash stations on construction sites
OSHA rule 29 CFR 1926.51(f) requires washing facilities on construction sites where workers apply paint, coatings, herbicides or insecticides, or handle other harmful materials. For general crews, a hand wash station next to the porta potty is a simple way to cut germs. We refill and restock it on each weekly service.

Hand Wash Station: common questions
Is the water heated?
No. Hand wash stations use room-temperature fresh water. Restroom trailers can have warm water.
Do you refill soap and towels?
Yes, on every service visit. For busy events, we can leave extra supplies.
Can I add a sink inside the porta potty instead?
Yes. Some units have a built-in sink. A separate station serves more people, faster.
Do you rent sanitizer stands?
Yes. Hand sanitizer stands are a low-cost add-on for events without food.
