Does Bedford require a permit for a porta potty?
Bedford's Fire Marshal reviews temporary events under the city's Temporary Events policy, so a public event with porta potties should start there. A porta potty on your own driveway or lawn for a party or remodel needs no city permit. Keep units off sidewalks and out of the street unless the city approves it.
Bedford's Fire Marshal handles temporary events under its Temporary Events policy. Units on private property need no city permit for a normal rental. For street use or a public event, check with the city before booking, and we will place units to match the approved site plan.
This is a summary for planning, not legal advice. Confirm current rules with the city before your event or project.

What should Bedford renters know about access and timing?
Bedford's 2026 projects include a new H-E-B on Cheek-Sparger Road, the Fire Station 2 renovation and $535,000 in turf infields at Generations Park. Most Bedford homes were built in the 1970s and 1980s with side-entry driveways, which give a good spot for a remodel unit.
